My Top Picks for Super Bowl 2012 Commercials

Those who know me, know that I don’t have a clue about American Football… A touch-down..?…Bill Belichick who? A Fumble? Listen, the only foosball player that comes to mind is Brady (don’t know his first name), and the only reason is because he’s married to a supermodel. Oh, and I also know that Actress Mara Rooney (Social Network, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is the granddaughter of both New York Giants founder Tim Mara and Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney, Sr.
I thank God for the fabulous commercials that we get to watch during the game!! I’m probably the only person in America who will Tivo the Super Bowl just to fast forward to the commercials. Regardless, I am still very happy for New York right now :)

My favorite Super Bowl 2012 commercials:

” It’s Half Time in America”- Clint Eastwood
I’m totally buying into this patriotic, heart of America Chrysler Campaign. Both the commercial director and ad agency (esp. the copywriter- there’s work for him in DC) get high scores from me. Beautifully shot. THIS is the soul of America. And I would vote for Clint Eastwood as my President in a heartbeat :)… Would I consider buying a Chrysler after watching this commercial…yes. Kutos to Wieden + Kennedy

“The Dog Strikes Back” 2012 Volkswagen
Liked this commercial for two reasons: dog lover and costumes. Great story, I thought the editing was done very well and enjoyed the Star Wars homage at the end.
Directed by Lance Accord

“King’s Court” Pepsi
I have only two words: Costumes and Costumes. Just absolutely Loved Elton John’s outlandish costume! I Especially adored his over-the-top, jeweled robe.

“It’s Reinvented!” Toyota Camry
Just Love commercials that make light of everyday monotony. Directed my Tom Kuntz

“Man’s Best Friend” Doritos
I’m still craving Doritos after watching this commercial. Might have to make a quick stop at Gelsons.

“2012″ Chevy Silverado
Directed by Noam Murro/Biscuit Filmworks

“Prohibition” and ” Eternal Optimism” – Budweiser
Every costume designer’s dream to be able to recreate so many different time periods.
